Smart streaming for Hotels
New ASTRO Streamer at SES Astra
Hotel TV systems are subject to a variety of influencing factors: whether analog or digital, IPTV and special hotel channels, the integration of various systems such as satellite, cable or terrestrial, or even the consideration of international and regional aspects, as well as of course the central control that is usually desired. In any case, the decisive factor is what comes out - high definition.

ASTRO offers the new streamer generation which has proven itself in the sector of city network operators and broadcasters in very attractive special offers to the hospitality sector.

The ASTRO streamers of the U-series now cover a further field of application: Besides the conversion of DVB-S2 into IP MPTS for cable network operators and DVB-S2 into IP SPTS for IPTV and hospitality applications with focus on high signal density, the new hardware and firmware has now been extended by the so-called Wideband Mode for DVB-S2X in IP.

IP in QAM: U 159 - additional licenses for individual solutions
License Possibilities for the U 159
Our well-known signal converter for IP in QAM, the U 159, is a plug-in module for the U 100 base unit that converts up to 64 IP Gigabit Ethernet multicast groups into 64 standard QAM channels. The QAM channels are implemented in 64 freely configurable channels. Thanks to the ASTRO Direct Digital technology (complete digital modulation of the output signal) outstanding signal parameters can be achieved.
The module is equipped with Annex A & C, RTP, FEC, IGMPv3.
Furthermore, EIT and SDT processing is possible. A cross-module NIT and LCN processing is integrated and works even without the use of the U 100 controller.

However, the module unfolds its full power only when used for individual applications, for which independent license extensions are available. Define what you need - we only integrate what is really necessary.

  • Further Data Port -> U 159-DP
  • Additional 8 QAM channels -> U 159-8QCH
  • Internal Link / Source Redundancy -> U 159-RED
  • Processing Input Signals with FEC -> U 159-FEC
  • Electrical SFP with RJ -> U 159-SFP
  • multiplexing -> U 159-MUX
